All Oxford LTs (Learning Technologists)

One way in which we aim to create conditions throughout Oxford where excellence in teaching and assessment can thrive is by bringing educators, administrators and students together through our facilitated education community. The community offers different opportunities for staff to enhance and support their practice – from open networks and user groups, to special interest groups.

One of these is the All Oxford LTs group. Find out about other groups in our education community.

What is the All Oxford LTs group?

Created in early 2019, the All Oxford LTs group brings together learning technologists from across the collegiate University, many of whom work in separate teams with little communication with their peers.

It is a relatively informal group. It aims to respond to the needs of its members and to providing genuinely valuable information and activities, including:

  • sharing information about relevant University policies or initiatives
  • creating opportunities to explore new technologies
  • sharing best practice
  • debating emerging issues
  • working collaboratively to solve technical problems
  • bringing in external speakers from across Oxford and beyond
  • piloting accreditation through CMALT

The group meets online for one hour every fortnight, and it has an active Teams channel, through which members share queries and source answers.

Who is this group for?

This group is for all staff across the collegiate University who are supporting teaching staff in identifying and using appropriate learning technologies.
