The Centre for Teaching and Learning promotes the following sessions provided by our colleagues in IT Services (for Teams and Panopto), the Libraries (for ORLO), and the Exams and Assessments team (for Inspera).

Nexus 365: Techniques for teaching with Teams

Description: Are you using Microsoft Teams for your teaching? Are you in need of more support? This session teaches participants various ways of setting up video meetings and inviting attendees. It also demonstrates the different ways of delivering PowerPoint presentations within Teams and compares their effectiveness with other applications, such as Panopto (Replay). Functions like recording attendance and using breakout rooms are covered, as well as more technical aspects including switching between applications, screen-sharing, and recording taught sessions.

Creating reading lists using ORLO

Description: Do you want to provide reading lists with direct links to e-books and articles? Oxford Reading List Online (ORLO) is an online reading list platform which makes it easy to create reading lists with direct links to e-books, articles and other e-resources and which show real time availability for physical resources in Oxford Libraries. This is an introductory session for academics, administrators and any staff supporting reading lists.

Panopto - First Steps

Description: Do you need to record your lectures/teaching sessions? You can do this using a software tool called Panopto which is provided by the University's Lecture Capture Service. This short workshop is designed for people who have never used Panopto.

Panopto - Next Steps

Description: Are you already using Panopto for simple recordings and want a deeper understanding of more of the features? In this webinar we look at how to use the web editor to organise your recordings and how to use captioning to improve accessibility. We cover how Panopto can work with other tools such as YouTube, Canvas and hand-held devices. There are opportunities to ask questions after each topic.

Inspera support sessions

Description: Inspera is an e-assessment platform used by the University for the submission of coursework and for both open-book and closed-book examinations. You can book a support call with the Exams and Assessments team to learn more about Inspera, or to get help setting up question sets and tests in Inspera for a specific assessment.
